Think Science! 2026 is a free, nationwide science competition for students in Years 3 to 10, encouraging teamwork, scientific inquiry and creativity. Hosted by ANSTO, the event invites students to conduct a first-hand science investigation, document their process, and present their findings in a short video.

Students work in teams of 2–4 to choose a topic, carry out an investigation using the Science Inquiry skills from the Australian Curriculum, and showcase their learning with a video entry (primary 3–4 min, secondary 4–5 min). Teams can use everyday materials — no specialist equipment is required.

The competition supports teamwork, problem-solving, communication and digital technology skills, and offers over $10,000 in prizes for students and schools. Homeschool teams are also welcome to enter.
