2023 Stage 2 Psychology Marking & Moderation Workshop
2023 Stage 2 Psychology Marking & Moderation Workshop
This workshop will provide clarity for teachers around assessment standards and moderation advice for the Stage 2 Psychology Curriculum introduced for the first time in 2022. There will be opportunity for teachers to discuss assessment and the application of the performance standards to Live Stage 2 work samples and participate in a mock moderation process (with student work samples provided at a range of grade bands), as well as receiving invaluable professional input about their own student samples brought along from their own classes. This will be a fabulous opportunity for teachers to confirm, clarify, and readjust their own marking standards prior to sending work samples off for final moderation. The workshop will also provide a session focusing on the Stage 2 Psychology examination format, and provide advice on how to mark student responses and provide feedback in order to best prepare and support student success in their final exam in 2023.
NOTE FOR PARTICIPANTS: Please bring examples of your own students' work
Intended audience: Stage 2 Psychology teachers and Stage 1 Psychology teachers preparing students for Stage 2 Psychology next year.
Presenters: Carolyn Pinchbeck and Emma Beukema
