Theme: Decoding the Universe – Exploring the Unknown with Nature’s Hidden Language
The Australian Science Teachers Association (ASTA) has released its 2025 National Science Week Schools Resource Book, developed to support this year’s theme: “Decoding the Universe – Exploring the Unknown with Nature’s Hidden Language.”
This beautifully designed digital resource offers a wide range of cross-curricular activities aimed at helping students explore the science behind natural patterns, codes, signals and systems—from DNA and animal communication to weather patterns and astronomical observation.
What’s Included:
- Resource Book of Ideas: A collection of classroom-ready STEM activities suited to all year levels
- Student Journal: A printable tool for older students to record their thinking, problem-solving, and learning outcomes
- Poster: A colourful visual resource to help promote and engage your class or school in this year’s theme
