Inspiring Future STEM Leaders

Adelaide University is celebrating the 20th anniversary of Young Women in STEM, an initiative encouraging women to pursue careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM).

Students will engage in hands-on activities led by STEM professionals while meeting current university students studying STEM fields. The program is designed to develop teamwork, problem-solving, and communication skills, all highly sought after in STEM careers.

Program Structure

Schools may bring up to 15 Year 9/10 students to a full-day workshop, followed by a half-day career skills workshop the next week.

Week 1 (Full-Day Workshop):

  • Tuesday 24 June | 9:00 am – 2:00 pm
  • Wednesday 25 June | 9:00 am – 2:00 pm

Week 2 (Half-Day Career Skills Workshop):

  • Tuesday 1 July | 9:30 am – 11:00 am OR 12:30 pm – 2:30 pm
  • Wednesday 2 July | 9:30 am – 11:00 am OR 12:30 pm – 2:30 pm

Each school will be allocated one full-day session and one half-day session.
